Color by number questions

How does color by number work?
Every page is split into small blocks, and each block has a number. The colour key lists which colour belongs to each number. Colour every block with its matching colour and the hidden picture appears.
Are these colour by number pages free to print?
Yes. Every page is free to download as a PDF (US Letter or A4, with a colour key page) or as a PNG, and free to use at home or in the classroom.
Which pages are best for adults?
Try the Medium and Hard pages and the mystery mosaics. They use 12 to 24 colours and smaller blocks, so they take longer and look more detailed. The Easy pages use big blocks and a handful of colours, which makes them a good fit for kids.
What is a mystery mosaic?
A mystery mosaic is a grid of small squares, each with a number. You colour square by square and the picture only becomes clear as you go. It is a calm, absorbing kind of colour by number.
Can I colour by number online?
Yes. Open any page with Color online, pick a colour from the key and tap a block to fill it. The numbers disappear as you fill each block, and the finished picture is revealed when you are done.
What should I colour with?
Coloured pencils give the cleanest result in small blocks. Fine markers and gel pens also work well. For the Easy pages, chunky crayons are fine.
